Weed & Games: Stoner Pokémon in Pokémon Sword and Shield
Pokémon Sword and Shield are great choices when you want to get high and play video games. The bright colors, crazy Pokémon, amazing special moves, and unique NPCs can captivate one for hours. The game duo of Sword/Shield also brings the ability to gigamax your Pokémon, making them enormous – like Stay-Puft Marshmallow man big, which adds even more fun. Plenty of Pokémon have been associated with smoking pot. So if you’re looking to build the ultimate stoner Pokémon team, here’s where you can capture some favorites in Pokémon Sword and Shield.
Koffing and his evolved form of Weezing are must-haves on any stoner Pokémon team. They have moves like smokescreen and haze. You can pick up Koffing in the wild areas of the Dust Bowl, Giant’s Mirror, Motostoke Outskirts and Motostoke Riverbanks in both Sword and Shield.
If you’re looking for Weezing, you can pick one up in East Lake Axwell, Lake of Outrage, and Slumbering Weald in both games. If you’re adding them as part of a serious team, be sure to check the Pokémon dens for high level Weezing!
If you’ve ever smoked a little too much of the sticky icky or indulged in too many edibles, you’ll recognize the look of Gloom. Gloom is a weed Pokémon, need I say more? Its hidden ability is stench. You can get Gloom by evolving Oddish, or you can capture one in Axew’s Eye, Giant’s Cap, Giant’s Mirror, or North Lake Miloch.
Look for Gloom in Max Raid Battles in Dappled Grove, Giant’s Cap, Hammerlocke Hills, and Motostoke Riverbank.
Just look at the face(s) of Vanillish and its evolved form of Vanilluxe. That’s the face you make when you’re doing dabs with your friends and someone brings out snacks. One of the best ice Pokémon, Vanilluxe is both dangerous and delicious.
When it’s snowing or hailing, you can find Vanillite and Vanillish all over the place. Check Route 10, Bridge Field, Lake of Outrage, and South Lake Miloch. Get a superpowered Vanilluxe in Max Raid battles in Dusty Bowl, Giant’s Cap, Hammerlocke Hills, and the Stony Wilderness areas.
Pangoro is a joker, a smoker, and midnight toker who’s never seen without his leaf. He grew up on the stuff. Even little Pancham has the magic weed. Sure, he looks gruff but once you settle down into a smoke sesh, he’s just a big teddy bear.
Find this loveable stoner Pokémon in Bridge Field, Dappled Grove, Lake of Outrage, and Rolling Fields. Pick up Pangoro in a Max Raid battle in these areas: Bridge Field, Dusty Bowl, Giant’s Mirror, North Lake Miloch, Stony Wilderness, West Lake Axewell.
Just. Look. At. Silicobra. Tell me this snake isn’t high af. You can pick up this starter stoner Pokémon on Route 6. You can also check the Dust Bowl for Silicobra Max Raid battles.
You’ll get Toxtricity once you evolve the little Toxel you pick up on Route 7. Toxtricity is full of adolescent punk angst and you know he smokes out during band practice. If you love loud music and weed, this is the Electric Pokémon of your dreams.
If you’re lucky, you may be able to nab one from a Max Raid battle in East Lake Axewell, Giant’s Cap, Giant’s Mirror, Hammerlocke Hills, Lake of Outrage, Motostoke Riverbank, or North Lake Miloch.
